(Percussion/Drums)...a native of Jackson MI, he comes from a musical family, where he started playing professionally at the age of 14. He holds a degree in music from Jackson State Univ. and in the 80's served as a session drummer for Malaco Records, playing with the likes of Johnny Taylor, Dorothy Moore and ZZ Hill. He is the principal percussionist with the Atlanta African American Philharmonic Orchestra, the Atlanta Orchestra and the Kingswood Orchestra. He's toured North America, Europe and the Caribbean His credits include Sam Myers, Cassandra Wilson, Keisa Brown, Fredrick Knight, The Drifters, Back Street Boys and Bobby Vinton. Currently working as an educator and clinician, he is also a member of numerous jazz societies and associations, IAJE, PAS, MENC and NEA.
